The Shiatsu Academy of Tokyo routinely gives its senior students the opportunity to gain experience in working environments as part of their curriculum requirements.  These include community events like TASTE OF THE DANFORTH, health and wellness fairs, and in response to company and school invitations to let their students and employees experience a relaxing shiatsu treatment in their own office environment.

North Toronto Collegiate Institute

The North Toronto Collegiate Institute Wellness Committee would like to thank you for participating in our first Community Wellness Fair on Saturday October 22, 2011.  Some of the fair’s success was directly attributable to the fantastic work your students did at the Shiatsu booth.  Sanae Nemoto and Victor Sydney worked steadily for the duration of the fair and for two hours afterwards to provide treatments for the massive line-up of people who wanted them!  Their commitment to their practice, their professionalism, and their kindness were inspiring to the many students, parents, and community members who visited the fair.  We are very excited that so many people got to experience the benefits of shiatsu therapy.

Our team really enjoyed the treatments yesterday.  Both Victor and Sanae were excellent, worked well with our people.  Some people here were a little hesitant, but were quickly made comfortable.  It was good to see a glow on their faces, and see a relaxed posture.  Very good!
